South San Francisco City Council and SSFUSD school board meetings: Why less citizen participation isn't best.

Looking for entertainment? Look no further than a city council or school board meeting. Regularly the entertainment will knock your socks off. But don't take our word at face value; see for yourself. Wait, did you say boring? Woa.. meetings are far from boring and the cast of characters are more entertaining than a basket of sniveling squirrels. Neighbors and friends fluent in the language of boring can testify to when the cat's away the mice will play with YOUR MONEY on steroids. Recall, Nobel prizing winning economist, Milton Friedman's "There's no such thing as a free lunch." Milton Friedman wasn't kidding! Take note, the truth is that you and your neighbor are counted upon; not to show up; not to pay attention; not to tune in; because YOU pay every penny the government spends. Therefore, why would they want you paying attention! Out of sight out of mind means your money is spent how? YOU DON'T KNOW. Voila! Millions of dollars unaccounted for, and millions allocated that don't exist then you wonder why pomp circumstance and back-slapping is boring? Certainly you must care where your hard earned taxes go? You ask why academic achievement is worse and budget deficits deeper while the governments' answer is to flush more of your hard earned money down the sewer ? Forget that and look in the mirror at the real problem. For more Real South City news and views you can use, stay tuned! Meanwhile, invest in a little oversight of your open checkbook representatives. Less is not best when looking for real solutions that are found under rocks. Leave no stone unturned.
